Our workshop primarily aims at educating the participants about analysis and design of tall buildings. The students would also be introduced to software used in civil engineering design. The participants would work hands-on on analyzing and designing a tall building using the software. With the help of various case studies, the participants would be made to understand the implication of tall building design in real world.
The objective of this workshop is to teach the approach towards tall building design and the corresponding level of evaluation with increase in complexity of a structure. Participants will be made to evaluate different problem statements given to them.

Bridge Design is one of the oldest topics of Civil Engineering. You will be introduced to various types of bridges and moving loads.This workshop gives you a unique opportunity to experience a hands-on feel of a Civil Engineering project. Participants will design and fabricate their own bridge and test for the maximum load. The bridge model made by them can take up to 1000 times the self weight. You don't believe that is possible? Workshop structure

This workshop is split into 3 modules

  1. Lecture & Analysis : Participants would be taught various concepts involved in ‘Bridge Design’ and are made to perform CAD based analysis of their respective bridges
  2. Fabrication: Each team will fabricate their own bridge according to their design with the raw material provided by us
  3. Testing: This session is the most interesting part of this workshop where the participants bridge is tested for maximum load to judge the maximum efficiency of the bridge. Teams with maximum efficiency will be given Best Design Award
